REASONABLE DOUBT SERIES

JUDGMENT

Isla Perry had already told herself a story of what jury duty would be like before she took her seat in the court room. She would do the right thing. She would be on the side of justice. And she would go home when it was all said and done to return to her normal life.

She never expected to have to bear witness to the gritty details of the high-profile homicide of the defendant’s wife.

Milo Ford. Murderer. Wife killer. Evil.

Or is he?

Isla finds herself outnumbered. The jury thinks Milo is guilty, but Isla? She’s not so sure. The case is circumstantial. She’s drowning in her own reasonable doubt. And after a month-long trial, she folds, agreeing to cast her vote as guilty.

It eats away at her.

Did she send an innocent man to prison?

When her guilt becomes compounded by the death of a beloved aunt, she vows to do the right thing and help Milo Ford, even if it feels like the whole world is against her.

And so is Ford himself.

TRIBUNAL

Milo Ford is out of prison, thanks to Isla. Her guilt over convicting him is absolved, but the world is pressing in on her, painting her as a villain just as much as the murderer she helped free.

But no matter how much hate is thrown at her, she can’t bring herself to believe that Milo murdered his wife.

She also can’t believe that the exonerated felon is now her roommate. Her aunt would be rolling over in her grave if she knew!

With few allies and more enemies than friends, Isla and Milo work together to find the truth. If Milo really is innocent, that means the person or persons responsible for murdering his wife are still at large.

When a strange package arrives with a warning, the police are unwilling to help, and Isla finds herself with a target on her back.

And that’s not the worst of it.

Another murder casts a dark shadow on Milo’s freedom.

Is he really innocent? Or did Isla hitch her wagon to a murderer that she set free?

UNBIASED

Isla’s life has been full of surprises lately—and not the good sort. She thought she’d seen enough that nothing could catch her off guard, until she and Milo are both arrested for the murder of the jury foreman in Milo’s case, Joel Crosby.

How did she get here?

Maybe she should have listened to her best friend and bailed when she had the chance.

Luckily, Isla and Milo aren’t abandoned, and legal help saves them. Back home, Isla’s house is a mess, and their investigation is at a standstill.

Every logical cell in her body knows she shouldn’t keep pushing, but Isla is pulled to the truth by a force she can’t outwill. She and Milo find peril around another corner, and more secrets are revealed.

But these secrets only lead to more questions—and danger.

VERDICT

Isla’s investigation into the murder of Nell Ford is put on hold when she is brutally attacked in broad daylight. A knock on the head won’t stop her from chasing down the truth but her doctors disagree.

Stuck in the hospital, she’s a sitting duck, and the worst part is Milo isn’t with her. Wrongly convicted of killing his wife, the grieving man is nowhere to be found, and she’s forced to depend on someone else to find him while she recovers—if her attacker doesn’t come back to finish the job.

And Milo?

He thought he was doing the right thing by putting distance between him and Isla. All it did was leave her exposed, and now he’s left grappling with his guilt and questions over who might have wanted to hurt her.

PENALTY

Danger is closing in as the investigation into Nell Ford’s murder takes a sinister turn. Isla and Milo are determined to catch the real killer, but they’re not sure who else they can trust. Everyone around them is a suspect.

The police are no help, too concerned with covering up their mistakes to admit there’s a killer on the loose. And even Milo and Isla’s friends have targets on their backs for helping.

The real killer will stop at nothing to remain hidden, including violence. What’s one more body on the pile?

They’ll have to risk everything if they want to find the truth and clear Milo’s name.

PRE-ORDER • AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 13TH

This is it. After this, it’s all over. For better or worse, Milo and Isla are going to confront the truth and face the ramifications.

But those ramifications might mean death.

Or worse.

After Milo and Isla learn the identity of the man who murdered Milo’s wife, they have also learned too many hard truths that make their path to justice complicated. Like the corruption in the police department that might span further up the chain than they could expect. They’re on their own.

They need a plan to draw the murderer out. Or, more effectively, they need a lure.

Isla herself.

Milo doesn’t like it. Isla’s life would be on the line. He already lost the woman he loved. He can’t do it again. But Isla is committed to the cause. She hasn’t gotten this far to throw in the towel now. Nell deserves for the truth to come out, and Isla and Milo deserve to have their names cleared.

The only thing standing in her way is Milo himself. And he might be the only person who can save her.
